ARCH1101 EXPERIMENT ONE

This images form part of a 12 page collage series which was a collaboration project of mine. The images are organized in a way that aimed to highlight the nature of the human visualisation of connections and how we perceive them. The collage was presented to an audience and many members of the audience gave us different responses to each image set, each with a unique set of connections that they had formed through personal experience and perspective.

This is an image of Bourtange, a village in The Netherlands. The village itself is an architectural experiment, combining landscape and building architecture to create a highly unique looking community and a town that can be seen as a work of art. I feel as though the residents could be extremely proud of their home town as it is unique and part of their identity.

I believe that our thoughts and the process of thinking, learning and creating new ideas is the most beautiful thing as it has no limitation and is totally individual to all of us. We all possess the ability for many things and all have such an interesting perspective on every facet of life, built through our experiences and those we surround ourselves with, among other influences.
